Add some pops of color, and FUN, to your Easter Baskets this year. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Stay on budget with this budget friendly Easter Basket filler.
Balloon Tulips Under $5
You don’t need to be super crafty to pull this one off. Plus you can’t go wrong with balloons. It’s something almost all kids enjoy. The long stems on these also are sure to be a WIN with your little ones. Mine enjoyed swinging the tulips around and bobbing each on the head with them. (A win or a fail, depending on how you look at it.)
Balloon Tulips DIY Items Needed
- A pack of long balloons (the kind you make balloon animals with)
- A bike pump
Attach the end of your balloon to the bike pump. This makes it EASY to pump up MANY balloons. You only need a little air. So don’t go crazy. One of two pumps should do it. Then, tie off the end.
Next, just push your index finger into the top. Grab the nub on the other side.
Pull the air filled “tulip” up a tad and TWIST to secure the “flower” bud.
You can place them in a jar and decorate your home with them, or possibly scatter them on the floor on Easter morning. Darn that Easter Bunny is messy. Can’t he pick up after himself? Hopping all over the house blowing up Easter Tulips. Tee-hee.
When you are on a budget, it’s the simple things that help. Little Easter Basket fillers to brighten your basket or home over the holidays. These balloons may be just to ticket to help provide some color to your day.
Happy Easter!
